Happy Chinese New Year! Stay healthy, wealthy and happy always! Every time when we passed by this restaurant in The Gardens, it's always filled with customers.

So, here we are, checking this place out.

The newly opened restaurant looks rather bright and modern. The seats are quite comfortable. It gave us a different feeling compared to other Taiwanese restaurant. It was rather empty when we went there for a late lunch during weekday.

The drink on the left is apple yogurt juice (苹果优格). Priced at RM6.80, this drink tasted rather interesting with a combination of apple and yogurt, but weird in a sense that the taste of both ingredients does not blend together. The one of the right is watermelon milk juice (西瓜牛奶). Priced at RM6.80 too, we somehow prefer this drink compared to the other, it tasted rather fresh and aromatic. It reminded us of the papaya milk juice that we had in Taiwan, it was really good.

Ys had this Taiwan braised beef noodle (台湾红烧牛肉面) for RM18.80. The presentation of the dishes was really nice and pretty. The beef noodles tasted just right, the soup was slightly spicy and flavourful and the serving of beef was quite generous. This set was worth the price and it was served with 3 side dishes.

I chose to have this Szechuan bean curd with minced meat set meal (麻婆豆腐套餐) since bean curd is one of my favourite food. Priced at RM15.80, I find this set really worth the price since it was served with additional side dishes and a soup. The bean curd was soft and silky, the sauce was neither too spicy nor too bland, and it tasted just right. The rice was rather soft and flavourful topped with the minced meat. The duck soup tasted quite good too. Overall, it was really delicious!
At first, we wanted to order the peanut snow mountain (花生泡泡冰) for dessert, but we were really full after we took our main course, so we’ll leave that for our next visit! Though we find this restaurant a little pricey, we would revisit this place again for its fine food, environment and service. It was an enjoyable lunch. Do drop by this restaurant for fine Taiwanese cuisine.
