Recommended by the waitress, we ordered ikan asam pedas. The soup tasted quite different as it was more sour and spicier. As for the fish, it was quite fresh too. We simply love spicy food!
We ordered something that we’re unfamiliar with, ayam tempra, which is known as spicy and sour stir fried Chicken in English. It was not that spicy and sour, tasted quite normal to us.
Lastly, we ordered kang kong belacan, one of the most common nyonya dish in Malaysia.
Of course, not letting go any chance to order desserts, we ordered cendol, again! Personally, we prefer the cendol we ate in Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Street). That tasted much better and their serving was so much larger.
We ordered bubur cha cha too, a dessert where yam and sweet potato and sago were served in coconut milk. It was slightly too sweet.The bill was RM33.30 in total. We enjoyed nyonya food but we’re certain that there are better nyonya restaurants in Malacca.

the ikan asam pedas looks appetizing! simply love sour and spicy food. i never know that the kang kong belacan is actually one of the nyonya dish O.o

ReplyDeleteAi Wei and Moo, I'm not too sure whether kangkung belacan is a nyonya food but since this restaurant serves nyonya food, i assumed that kangkung belacan is actually nyonya food.
Mei Yen, yup, nyonya is good but there're other better restaurants out there! :)

yeay... you have recommended the place where my girlfriends and I will be heading next week!! Then we no need to scratch our brains in finding where to eat!! It seems that Jonker street is a perfect place to shop and eat!!!
